When producing sand blasted promotions, the product is placed into a enclosed chamber with a film placed over it with the desired art cut out of the film material.
The operator then takes a gun style aparatus to blast the object with very small sand pellets to actually cut out of the surface a sharp precise and very visable design.
This process on crystal, colored glass or metal products is very understated yet the message is clear.
